Professor Costa: Tourism brings money and jobs to many places, but it can also damage the environment and local culture. In your view, does tourism do more good or more harm? Why?

Student (Ella): I think it does more good. Tourism creates jobs, supports small businesses, and encourages countries to protect their heritage sites. For example, a small coastal town near where I live now thrives economically because visitors come specifically to see its restored historic center.

Student (Rashid): I disagree. Mass tourism often pollutes natural areas, raises local prices, and turns unique cultures into performances for visitors. For example, a beach near my hometown has become so crowded with tourists that local fishermen can barely use it anymore.
