quien vive abajo

The bass is coming through your bedroom ceiling

Calm but clear. You want a practical change, not an argument in the hall. You start. About 8 turns · 6 minutes.

Your screen only. Don't show it. Describe where the sound is strongest and ask for a test.

Tu información

Lo que sabes y lo que necesitas

Where you are

You live directly below the gathering. The music is not very loud in your kitchen, but the bass is strong in the main bedroom.

You want

You want to sleep from 10:30 p.m. and need the bass to stop travelling through the ceiling. You are willing to help test a change.

You can't

  • Sleep in the living room; a visiting cousin is using the sofa.
  • Use earplugs because you need to hear your alarm and an early work call.
  • Accept “we will be careful” without checking the bedroom after the speaker changes.

Only you know

  • Your alarm is at 5:45 a.m. for an airport shift.
  • Ordinary voices do not bother you; only the repeated bass reaches the bedroom.
  • You recorded twenty seconds in the bedroom, but you prefer not to use the recording unless the host denies the problem.

If you finish with nothing

You lose sleep before a safety briefing at work, and the first direct conversation with this neighbor may turn into a formal complaint.

Ayuda común

Use blocks 1 [asks], 2, 5, 6 and 8. Start with the room and the sound. Your work schedule explains the limit; it does not make you more important than the gathering.

Closing criterion

Do the sound test before closing. Then both people repeat:

  1. Where the speaker will stay.
  2. The bass and volume setting after 10:00 p.m.
  3. Which window or door stays closed.
  4. The gathering finish time and what happens if the bedroom test still fails.
Success: You focused on bass in one room, not on the existence of the gathering. You asked for a physical test and stated your sleep time. You avoided a formal complaint because the final rule can be checked.

Después de hablar

Conversen sobre cómo les fue

  1. ¿Qué diferencia hubo entre pedir “menos ruido” y localizar bajo, ventana y dormitorio?
  2. ¿La carta aumentó el poder del vecino o convirtió el problema en algo compartido? Defiendan una lectura.
  3. Repitan la regla como cuatro ajustes observables. ¿Qué parte no se podría comprobar?
