You want
You want to give the client one honest update within five minutes and confirm a safe way to complete the missing demo.
You can't
- Present the final search feature; only your teammate can run it.
- Keep the clients waiting silently for more than five minutes.
- Tell them the demo is finished when the key feature remains unseen.
Only you know
- The client can stay online until 2:20 p.m. now or return between 3:30 and 4:00.
- You can answer price questions without the demo.
- The client’s security officer is in the meeting and will object to personal-file sharing.
If you finish with nothing
The client leaves with no plan and sees both a technical failure and poor communication.

Closing criterion
The meeting is postponed only when both people agree on:
- The honest status message sent to the waiting client.
- What can still be covered now and what remains for later.
- The new time, company link and secure location.
- Who sends the update, who confirms the room and where the demo restarts.
Success: You updated the waiting client, did not invent a connection return and protected the missing feature. You used only the useful immediate topic and secured a new company link and restart plan.
