Calm and practical. This is an important customer, but a bad print cannot be hidden. They start. About 8 turns · 7 minutes.

Your screen only. Don't show it. Explain the production problem and offer choices with real times.

Tu información

Lo que sabes y lo que necesitas

Where you are

You are at the counter of Color Centro. A restaurant owner has arrived to check an order of two hundred menus. The press is prepared, but you stopped production after ten copies because the logo color changed on the available paper.

You want

You want approval for a safe production plan that does not waste paper or deliver the wrong color. The customer must see the test print and understand which part of the timing is still uncertain.

You can't

  • Print all two hundred menus on the paper currently in the machine. That would turn a visible test problem into an expensive finished problem.
  • Promise delivery today before the paper supplier confirms. Four hours of production begin only after the material arrives and the customer approves it.
  • Reduce the bill without the owner’s approval. The lower price belongs only to the lighter paper option.

Only you know

  • You printed ten test menus, and the dark blue looks purple on the current paper. The text and folds are correct.
  • A lighter paper works, but it feels cheaper and costs 18 percent less. You have enough of it to start immediately.
  • Your evening operator can finish the order tomorrow by 10:00 a.m. if the correct paper arrives today. A split run is also technically possible.

If you finish with nothing

The press stays reserved, the customer has no confirmed menus, and both businesses lose the afternoon. Your supervisor will ask why the customer never received the sample or a timed update.

Cuándo terminar

Closing criterion

This conversation may end without a final print decision. It closes only with the same answer to these questions:

  1. What paper or color result is not acceptable.
  2. The minimum number of menus and the real deadline.
  3. The next checkpoint: exact time, who calls, and what information they bring.
  4. What happens if the correct paper arrives — and what happens if it does not.
Success: You showed evidence, refused to hide the color problem, and offered two timed routes. You did not promise same-day delivery without paper. The conversation ends with a checkpoint and a decision rule, even if production is postponed.

Después de hablar

Conversen sobre cómo les fue
