Tu información

Lo que sabes y lo que necesitas

Where you are

It is Friday, 7:20 p.m. Valentina is in the parking lot with the bags. You came down with your bag to talk to her.

You want

You came down to get a spot for Sebastián and Andrea — both of them, or one. And you need more time for the 100,000: Tuesday the 25th.

And a reason you can repeat

You have twenty minutes before Andrea comes. If nobody goes, you tell her tonight, with your own reason — not with Valentina's.

You can't

  • Pay the 100,000 today. The 200,000 in your pocket are Sebastián's and Andrea's.
  • Keep that money after tonight. If there is no trip, you give it back tonight.
  • Bring them yourself. You have never seen that gate list, and Valentina knows it.

Only you know

  • On Tuesday each of them gave you 100,000. If nobody goes, you give the 200,000 back tonight and two friends stay at home.
  • You said yes to two people on Tuesday, when the group was still five, and you heard about the sixth from somebody else.
  • Three things are new to her: Andrea's twenty minutes, Sebastián's shift, the hammock. Say them only if she asks.

If you walk away with nothing

Tonight 200,000 leave your pocket, you say no to two friends, and your debt still has no date.

Cuándo terminar

Closing criterion

Each of you says three things out loud. Six in total. Nobody says the other person's three lines. Then Valentina sends the message to the WhatsApp group.

Only Valentina can say: how many beds there are, how many names and ID numbers are on the gate list, and who can change it · what an extra person costs, and on whose reservation · the 7:00 a.m. call, and what she does if nobody answers before it.

Only Kevin can say: the full name and the ID number he sends tonight, and who gives them to him · the exact day he pays the 100,000, and what he does if the money is not there that day · what he tells Sebastián and what he tells Andrea tonight, and by what time.

Together, once: which cars leave at 8:00, and who rides in each one. Then Valentina says yes to Kevin's three, or changes one thing in them, and sends the message.

Four rules:

  • Nobody repeats the other's line. Say the other one's line and it doesn't count — they say it again. And a line answered yes or no is not said: ask it open, or it doesn't count.
  • A day is not a date until the other one says what happens if he pays late. The 100,000 needs two mouths, not one.
  • The message says two numbers — how many people go, and how many cars leave — and the two have to be the ones you just said out loud. If they aren't, say them again.
  • Nobody nods their way through. Yeah, sure, okay, fine and that works are not lines by themselves.

Six lines, or the message doesn't go. Valentina writes nothing until she has heard Kevin's three. This one does not close tonight, and that is the plan.

Success: Valentina heard what tonight costs you, with a figure and a day · the 100,000 has one exact date, said in the group · one of your three came out, because it fitted · you know which car leaves at 8:00 and who rides in it · you have a reason for Andrea · what is still open was said, with a name and a time · you talked about money, and tomorrow you still travel together.

Después de hablar

Conversen sobre cómo les fue

El tema avisa del error exacto («Did she went?»).

  • Present Perfect con Ever, Never, Already y Yeta2

Sostiene «You haven't paid me yet.»

  • Conectores en Inglés A2: because, so, although, however, buta2

Sostiene los cuatro exponentes con conector que quedan en las dos fichas, y los cuatro son con but: «I know it's last minute, but…», «It's my fault, but…», «I'm not angry, but…» y «OK — but only if…».

  • There is / There are en inglés A1a1

Sostiene «There are only six…»

Sostiene «Can I pay you on…?», que es la petición central de Kevin.

Sostiene «Who exactly is…?» y «What do I say to…?».

Sostiene «Can I pay you on…?» y «They paid me on…», y las horas y fechas de los dos bloques de datos: Saturday, 8:00 a.m. · July 30 · before 7:00 a.m.

  • Verb to be en inglés A1a1

Sostiene cinco de los dieciocho exponentes y hasta ahora ninguno lo declaraba: «We're good, right?», «I'm not angry, but…», «It's my fault, but…», «I know it's last minute, but…» y «That's it — I'll send…». connectors-a2 solo cubría el but de tres de ellos y will-future solo la segunda mitad del quinto.

Sostiene «Wait — we didn't say that.», «When did that change?», «That's it — I'll send…» y el «like this» de «OK — I'll say it like this:…».

Sostiene el me de «You haven't paid me yet.», «They paid me on…» y «Why didn't you tell me…?», y el it de «I'll say it like this» y «If I don't have it on…».
